The Challenge

Application:  Video Wall, 2x2   Samsung DM48D Displays   Floor & Overhead Hard Deck Anchored

Property:   Retail Storefront Facing into a Shopping Mall

Opportunity: Design a 2x2 video wall in a retail storefront window, with displays facing outward into a shopping mall.

Must have minimal visible distractions, such as from mounting structure, wires or cables, which might detract or negatively impact the images onscreen.

Must sit within an open area, with a hard deck surface above, and no back wall available to anchor the video wall.

Height of the displays must be adjustable during installation for exact placement of the video wall within the window. Ability to easily and accurately align the displays is required post-installation.

Limited install time available due to store’s operational hours, therefore it must be installed quickly during closed business hours.
 
 
The Solution - Action Taken

Premier Mounts developed a solution using stock products. Premier Mounts’ anchor base (PSD-DPAB) with cable management securely anchored the structure to the floor and ceiling, and custom length 2" tubes provided cable access, both of which minimized visual distractions.

Symmetry Series 75" interface bars (SYM-IB-75B) provided unobtrusive support, and Fine Tune Alignment Brackets (SYM-DB-FT) allowed for easy and accurate adjustments of individual displays to achieve the overall look of the video wall.

The Symmetry Stand Adapter (SYM-IB-SA) secured the interface bars to the tubes with the aid of the PSD-HDCA adapter. For exact video wall placement, the PSD-HDCA allowed for easy height adjustability during installation, which took place after business hours.
