The London Banqueting House was filled with sharply-dressed businesspeople last night for this year’s DailyDOOH Gala Awards. Among the attendants: several colleagues from our Entertainment team - all nervous and excited, with high hopes of winning a DailyDOOH Award in the category of ‘Best Stadium/Office Building/Corporate/Hotel, Hospitality or Leisure Install’. Their desires were met: they went home with an award for our Barco Lobby Experience installation at ‘Regal L.A. LIVE: A Barco Innovation Center’ in Los Angeles, California.
Turn the lobby into an immersive experience Inaugurated in April last, Regal L.A. LIVE: A Barco Innovation Center is the world’s most technologically-advanced movie theater. It features the latest in Barco cinema technology, including our flagship laser and laser phosphor projectors, Barco Escape, our Auro immersive sound system and the Barco Lobby Experience.
It is the Lobby Experience that the Daily DOOH jury applauded for its ‘innovative approach’. Utilizing a combination of video walls and feature screens, dynamic movie posters, synchronized feature film promotional content on flat-screen monitors, and light and sound, the Barco Lobby Experience turns the cinema lobby and concourse area at Regal L.A. LIVE into an immersive storytelling environment. Back-end analytics provide customer interactivity data, enabling Regal L.A. LIVE to adapt content in order to deliver the most effective messages – and, consequently, boost revenues.
