FOUR ZONES, MANY SOURCES:

Apartments, condos, vacation cabins and small homes are the perfect fit for this switcher. In the diagram below, you will see a four-zone system where every component is centrally located into a rack system. This unit has dual HDBaseT input ports, giving the integrator the ability to connect sources that are not centrally located. We used both of those inputs for stationary security cameras that feed directly into the switcher, making them viewable through any connected display.

SHARE PHOTOS VIA YOUR PHONE, TABLET OR LAPTOP:

Security cameras are just one application of many. Having mounted wall plate transmitters throughout the home allow you to connect to your video system without interfering with the main rack. Now your customer can connect their phone, tablet, or laptop to share photos throughout the entire home. 

DUAL AVR ZONES:

The 8x4 is perfect for when you have two zones that have their own AVR. For those who are not looking for whole-home video distribution but want two quality zones with their own AVR and quality sound system, this switch becomes your best friend. You can lock input 1 and 2 together, and 3 and 4 together, so they always display a mirrored image. This way you can send 18Gbps video signals directly to the display via HDBaseT while connecting to the AVR via the mirrored HDMI port. You can now the AVR a downscaled resolution signal, which is much less taxing for the AVR to handle, which leaves the audio completely unimpeded. This optimizes your video and audio path in tandem. 

This scenario allows you to run two high-quality multi-channel zones capable of Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision at the same time. There are two ways of doing this; AVRs cleanly installed inside the rack or having the AVR's in the room.
